To create a hands-on ranch experience where kids build confidence, responsibility, and character through caring for animals, learning practical life skills, and working together in a supportive, team-focused environment. As a growing program, we aim to expand each year—offering deeper learning opportunities, including more advanced horsemanship as campers return and grow with us.
Our Focus
The focus at Rysdon Ranch Camp is to teach kids that their daily consistency in feeding and grooming directly impacts the well-being of another living creature. Through these chores, campers develop a sense of accountability and grit, learning to prioritize the needs of the farm over their own immediate interests.
Education
Kids learn practical life skills—like feeding, grooming, and habitat maintenance—that transform abstract chores into lessons on accountability and empathy.
Confidence
Successfully managing tasks, like leading an animal or maintaining a stall, proves to kids that they are capable of handling challenges and caring for something greater than themselves.
